Play to Earn vs Skill Based Earning

In a Play-to-Earn game you are potentially rewarded for either in-game NFTs, or crypto currencies. The rewards come from participating in tasks, contests, or any other activity that the game brings. In most cases there is a level of farming you must do, and have a certain combination of NFT in-game assets to accomplish the tasks to earn the rewards.

In Skill Based Earning, you earn based on how well you play the game. As you improve your skills, your chances of earning more increases. You only need to own one NFT which is the key to the earning portion of the game, and there is no farming needed, you will earn as you play automatically based on the results of the game.

How Qorb Earns

The Skill-To-Earn issuance represents 53% of the total Qorbi supply. The goal of the Skill Based Earning tokens is to attract a wide range of players to the Qorbi ecosystem in the hunt for token rewards and to give ownership and stake to the most active community members.

The Qorbi token will gradually unlock over 4.5 years

We envision using the Skill-To-Earn portion of the issuance to reward key behaviors within our ecosystem such as:

• Competing and winning matches

• Winning tournaments

• Using the Qorbi in the Qor marketplace

• Using future Qorbi products that haven't been announced yet

‌The Skill-To-Ear allocation can be seen as a marketing budget for the Qorbi World . When certain game modes and products are ready to be promoted, its Skill Based Earning allocation could be increased, this can be done using the reserve tokens.

These allocations are something that could potentially be decided by governance over time.

The Qorbi earned through the Skill Based Earning allocation will initially be open for trading immediately, but the Qor Gaming team will monitor the situation closely to decide if a lock-up on rewards is needed.
